NEW LONDON, N.H. - October 12, 2019 - The Colby-Sawyer women's swim team fell to Keene State, 127-71, on Saturday afternoon at the Knight Natatorium.
RESULTS
The Chargers began the meet with a second place finish in the 400 medley relay. The squad of first-year
Leilani Marlow (Kapolei, Hawaii ), first-year
Gracie O'Callaghan (Waltham, Mass.), first-year
Nina Boudreau (Hallowell, Maine) and junior
Jinnae Jang (Fall River, Mass) posted a time of 4:22.55, just two seconds off the pace.
A pair of Chargers then captured second and third place in the 200-yard freestyle, with sophomore
Kelsey Brown (Douglas, Mass.) swimming 2:08.85 and first year
Rebecca Lee (Redding, Conn.) coming in at 2:12.78.
Jang also captured an individual victory in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 26.38. She followed with a second place in the 100-yard butterfly, out-touching teammate
Nina Boudreau with a time of 1:05.25. Boudreau posted a time of 1:05.28.
The second and third spots in the 100-yard freestyle belonged to the Chargers, with Brown finishing in 58.92 and O'Callaghan in 1:00.03.
Leilani Marlow took the top spot in the 100-yard backstroke with a season best time of 1:05.08.
The Chargers ended the meet with a victory in the 400 medley relay. The team was comprised of Boudreau, Lee, Brown, and junior
Zoe Daudier (Milford, N.H.). They combined for a time of 4:00.37.
Colby-Sawyer hosts Assumption next Saturday.
