WENHAM, Mass. - January 26, 2019 - The Colby-Sawyer women's swimming team defeated Gordon College, 113-78, on Saturday afternoon.
RESULTS
The combination of
Zoe Daudier (Milford, N.H.),
Jinnae Jang (Fall River, Mass.),
Meagan Thomsen (Gorham, Maine) and
Kelsey Brown (Douglas, Mass.) won a pair of relay events. They began the day by winning the 400 medley in a time of 4:39.50 and then ended the day with a win in the 400 freestyle with a time of 4:12.13.
Thomsen earned an individual victory in the 50 backstroke with a time of 31.64. She also won the 100 backstroke at 1:13.94.
Jang collected a pair of event wins. She took the top spot in the 50 freestyle with a time of 26.18 and won the 50 butterfly in 28.31.
Brown added a win in the 200 IM with a time of 2:21.83. She finished second in the 100 freestyle at 58.48.
Bethany Fennessey (Windham, N.H.) clocked in at 23:42.58 to earn first-place points in the 1650 freestyle. Fennessey added a second place in the 50 breaststroke (38.38).
Maddie Craig (Salem, N.H.) placed second in the 100 breaststroke in a time of 1:28.00.
The team will compete at the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship next week.
