CHICOPEE, Mass. - January 16, 2019 - The Colby-Sawyer women's swimming team competed at Elms College in a double dual meet Wednesday afternoon. The Chargers fell to the Blazers 135-99 and Western New England 131-104.

The day began with an impressive win by the 200 medley relay team.
Jinnae Jang,
Bethany Fennessey,
Kelsey Brown and
Zoe Daudier combined for a winning time of 2:18.81.
Jang also posted a pair of individual wins. She took the top spot in the 50 freestyle in a time of 29.77. She then won the 400 freestyle by almost 18 seconds as she finished in 5:01.02.
Brown also collected two wins. She came away with first in the 200 freestyle. She touched the wall in 2:20.53 to win by almost six seconds. Brown then won the 50 butterfly with a time of 31.10.
Daudier had a solid day in the pool as well. She was second in the 200 backstroke (2:45.84) and third in the 50 freestyle (32.41).
Fennessey added a pair of third-place finishes in the 100 breaststroke (1:31.05) and 200 butterfly (3:29.31).
In the 50 backstroke,
Katie Bernashe took second place in a time of 39.18.
The Chargers will host their final home meet of the season on Saturday against UNE.
