Women's Volleyball Falls at Rivier in GNAC Semifinals, 3-1

NASHUA, N.H. - November 1, 2018 - The third-seeded Colby-Sawyer Chargers fell at second-seeded Rivier Raiders, 3-1, in Thursday's Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) semifinal match. Rivier won by scores of 21-25, 25-18, 25-17 and 25-15. 

Rivier improves to 27-6 and will travel to top-seeded and No. 2 team in the country, Johnson & Wales, on Saturday for the championship. The Chargers' first season as a member of the GNAC comes to an end with a 21-11 overall record. 
 
Graduate Courtney Collins (Litchfield, N.H.) led the Raiders with 15 kills on .407 hitting. Junior Jessica Whyte (Plymouth, Mass.) posted 13 kills on an impressive .647 hitting percentage. Senior setter Hayley Macken (Clifton Park, N.Y.) tallied 44 assists, while freshman Avery Pollard (Ballston Lake, N.Y.) picked up 12 digs. Junior Taylor Dunster (Sutton, Mass.) added 10 kills and nine digs.
 
First-year Maddie Bromley (Truckee, Calif.) paced the Chargers with 10 kills. Senior Courtney Murray (Quincy, Mass.) registered a .444 hitting percentage on nine kills. She finishes her career with 873 kills to rank ninth all-time. First-year Anna Allen (Los Angeles, Calif.) collected 28 assists and 11 digs. Junior Morgan Flynn (Reading, Mass.) picked up a match best 15 digs to give her 996 after three seasons. 

Maddie Bromley was named to the All-Tournament Team.
