NEW LONDON, N.H. - October 24, 2018 - Colby-Sawyer first-year
Kelsey Brown (Douglas, Mass.) broke the 100 butterfly school record as the Chargers competed against Norwich on Wednesday evening at the Knight Natatorium. The Chargers fell to Cadets145-98.
RESULTS
Brown clocked in at 1:02.02 to win the 100 butterfly and break the previous record mark of 1:02.48, set last year by teammate
Jinnae Jang (Fall River, Mass.). Brown also took top honors in the 100 freestyle, winning by almost three seconds, with the only sub-minute time of 58.71. She added a second place in the 200 IM (2:20.14).
Jang won the 50 backstroke by almost two seconds in a time of 28.95. She added a win in the 50 butterfly in 28.74.
Senior
Meagan Thomsen (Gorham, Maine) took the top spot in the 50 freestyle. She clocked in at 28.42. Thomsen added a second place in the 100 backstroke (1:10.59).
Sophomore
Zoe Daudier (Milford, N.H.) placed second in the 200 freestyle at 2:21.63.
The 400 freestyle relay team ended the night by winning with a combined time of 4:05.90. The team was comprised of Thomsen, Jang, Brown and Daudier.
The Chargers will hit the road next Saturday to compete at Saint Michael's.
