GORHAM, Maine - October 18, 2018 - The Colby-Sawyer women's volleyball team dropped a non-league game at Southern Maine, 3-1, on Thursday evening. The Huskies won by scores of 24-26, 25-23, 25-22 and 25-14.
The Chargers have their four-match win streak snapped to drop to 16-9. Colby-Sawyer will resume Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action on Saturday with a 2 p.m. match at Emmanuel. Southern Maine improves to 14-9.
Colby-Sawyer was led by a 14-kill performance from
Courtney Murray.
Maddie Bromley was the second Charger to reach double digit kills with 13 on .303 hitting and nine digs.
Morgan Flynn collected a match-high 19 digs.
Anna Allen posted a season best 47 assists.
Katarina Hornung hit an impressive .412 to finish with nine kills.
Naarah Cox also added nine kills to go along with two solo blocks and four block assists.
Megan Gettings finished with a season-high 14 kills and a .462 attack percentage to lead the Huskies, while Kacey Foerster added 13 kills. Nicole Schmitz contributed seven kills to go along with 32 assists. Lauren Delissio led the Huskies with 16 digs. Alexis Dow chipped in with five kills and five blocks
