BRISTOL, R.I. - September 2, 2017 - The Colby-Sawyer women's volleyball team split a pair of matches on the final day of the Roger Williams Invitational.
Colby-Sawyer began the day with a 3-0 victory over Bridgewater State by scores of 25-18, 25-15 and 25-9. The win gives
Josh Anderson his first head coaching victory. Later in the day, tournament host Roger Williams defeated Colby-Sawyer 3-0 by scores of 25-22, 25-14 and 25-15.
Naarah Cox paced Colby-Sawyer in the 3-0 win over the Bears with a match best 13 kills and impressive .600 hitting percentage. She added three block assists. Â
Rebecca Straubel filled the stat sheet with nine kills, eight digs and three aces.
Courtney Murray added eight kills and nine digs.
Olivia Goodrich ran the offense with 25 assists, while
Nicole Olivieri collected 10 digs.Â
In the match against Roger Williams, Olivieri led the Chargers with five kills. She added eight digs and three aces. Goodrich recorded a double-double of 12 assists and 10 digs, while Murray contributed eight digs.Â
