BRISTOL, R.I. - September 1, 2017 - The Colby-Sawyer women's volleyball team fell to Emerson, 3-0, on the first day of action at the Roger Williams Invitational. The Lions won by scores of 25-16, 25-20 and 30-28.
The Chargers drop to 0-1 and will continue action at the tournament tomorrow with matches against Bridgewater State at 11 a.m. followed by a 3 p.m. match against tournament host Roger Williams. The Hawks won a pair of matches on Friday evening, while Bridgewater State fell to Keene State.
Colby-Sawyer was led by junior
Courtney Murray's 13 kills. Three other players recorded four kills each including
Alli Lahiff,
Rebecca Straubel and
Naarah Cox.
Olivia Goodrich collected 20 assists, while
Nicole Olivieri had a match best four aces to go along with seven digs.
