Junior
Amanda Martin (Amesbury, Mass.) got the scoring started for Colby-Sawyer in the 28th minute when she finished a one-timer in close off a pass from junior
Hannah Fields (Shapleigh, Maine).
With less than four minutes to play in the first half, junior
Morgan Keene (Barre, Vt.) doubled the Colby-Sawyer lead with her third tally of the season. Sophomore
Leah Dupuis (Concord, N.H.) sent a pass to the top of the six-yard box that was volleyed by Keene into the left corner of the net.
Amanda Martin tacked on an unassisted goal 13 minutes into the second half. She traveled with possession down the left flank and took a tough angled shot past the outstretched arms of the Thomas keeper. The goal was Martin's sixth of the season.
Sophomore goalies
Sam Mitchell (Chester, N.H.) and
Marissa Williams (Mattapoisett, Mass.) each played a half and did not face any shots to combine for the clean sheet for the Chargers. Thomas keeper Kayla Gordon (Wiscasset, Maine) made four saves. Sophomore midfielder Taylor Peno (Hooksett, N.H.) also saved a goal for Thomas on a great chance by Colby-Sawyer in the first half.
