NEW LONDON, N.H. – October 14, 2017 – The Colby-Sawyer College women's soccer team defeated Green Mountain College, 8-0, in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action on a beautiful Saturday afternoon at Kelsey Field.
Colby-Sawyer improves to 10-2-1 overall and remains atop the NAC standings at 7-0. The Chargers will welcome Thomas and UMaine-Farmington next weekend to conclude the regular season. Green Mountain dips to 5-6-1 overall and 1-5-1 in the NAC. The Eagles host Hampshire on Tuesday.
The Chargers scored three times in the first half and five times in the second to account for the 8-0 victory.

Hannah Fields (Shapleigh, Maine) added to her team leading goal total with a pair today to give her 10 on the season. Junior
Amanda Martin (Amesbury, Mass.) also scored twice and added an assist. Sophomore

Natalie Shear (Wayland, Mass.), sophomore
Leah Dupuis (Concord, N.H.) and junior
Natalie Ellard (Rockland, Mass.) added a goal apiece. Junior
Maddie Chamard (Portsmouth, R.I.) contributed three assists.
Green Mountain goalie Jessica Casey (St. Albans, Vt.) collected 12 saves, while Colby-Sawyer keepers
Marissa Williams (Mattapoisett, Mass.) and
Oona Bond (Southborough, Mass.) combined for the shutout.
