WENHAM, Mass. – The Colby-Sawyer women's swimming and diving team won its second straight meet by defeating Gordon College, 137-115, on Saturday.
RESULTS
The Chargers opened the afternoon with a nice win in the 200 medley relay.
Makenzie Welch,
Anna Zdziarski,
Meagan Thomsen and
Meghan Mamlock combined for a time of 2:01.56.
Anna Gaskill then took second place in the next event. She clocked in at 21:05.12 in the 1650 freestyle.
Colby-Sawyer got back in the win column after
Meghan Mamlock took the top spot in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:05.17.
Thomsen and Welch then took the top two spots in the 50 backstroke. Thomsen finished in 30.99 to win the event, followed by Welch at 31.36.
Zdziarski gave Colby-Sawyer its third straight race victory with a time of 34.59 to win the 50 breaststroke. She later won the 200 breaststroke in convincing fashion in 2:42.72.
Welch was victorious by more than a second in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:06.07.
Mamlock recorded the final win of the afternoon for the Chargers. She posted the top time of 5:44.47 in the 500 freestyle to cruise to a 16-second victory.
