COLCHESTER, Vt. - November 5, 2016 - The Colby-Sawyer women's swimming & diving team returned to the pool after a week off to compete at Saint Michael's on Saturday afternoon. The Purple Knights won 177-89.
RESULTS
Meghan Mamlock came away with a first and second place in individual events, while combining with
Anna Zdziarski,
Anna Gaskill and
Meagan Thomsen to finish first in the 200 freestyle relay in a time of 1:52.35. Mamlock won the 200 freestyle by almost three seconds in a time of 2:07.89. She placed second in the 500 freestyle touching the wall at 5:43.68.
Makenzie Welch earned first place points in the 200 IM by completing the race in 2:31.20. She added two second place finishes in the 50 and 200 backstroke. Welch turned in a time of 31.10 in the 50 and 2:22.60 in the 200.
Zdziarski added a pair individual second place finishes in the breaststroke events. She clocked in at 34.87 in the 50 and 2:44.29 in the 200.
The Chargers will compete at Plymouth State on Friday evening before traveling to Elms on Saturday for a 1 p.m. meet.
