Volleyball Falls at Bowdoin, 3-0

BRUNSWICK, Maine - October 29, 2016 - The Colby-Sawyer women's volleyball team fell to Bowdoin, 3-0 in a regular season finale on Saturday afternoon. 

The Chargers drop to 10-20 and will travel back to Maine next weekend to play Husson in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) semifinals at Maine Maritime. Bowdoin improves to 14-9 and will face Wesleyan in the opening round of the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Friday evening at Tufts.

Bowdoin won by scores of 25-13, 25-12 and 25-10. The Polar Bears finished the match with a .552 hitting percentage and was led by a 12-kill, 0-error effort from Erika Sklaver. Caroline Flaharty had 11 kills while Sydney Salle added ten for Bowdoin. Katie Doherty posted 13 digs and Flaharty added 12. Quincy Leech posted 40 assists for the Polar Bears.

Courtney Murray led the Chargers with six kills, while Jaia Woodland added four. Caroline McCoy returned to the court and collected a team best six digs. Olivia Goodrich had 14 assists.
