MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - September 19, 2015 - The Colby-Sawyer women's volleyball team's tough schedule continued on Saturday. The Chargers lost a pair of matches at Middlebury to SUNY Cortland 3-2 and the host Panthers 3-0.
Colby-Sawyer won the first two games against the Red Dragons 26-24 and 25-18, but Cortland came back to win the final three sets 25-20, 25-21 and 15-11 to win the match.
Kelsey McCulley led the Chargers with 17 kills and 10 digs.
Gabrielle Rodriguez also had a double-double of 15 kills and 10 digs.
Lexi Strong collected a match best 28 digs.
Laura Smolinski set up the Colby-Sawyer attack with 34 assists and added 20 digs.
In the nightcap against Middlebury, the Panthers won by scores of 25-10, 25-17 and 25-14.
Kelsey Sullivan finished with seven kills and
Kelsey McCulley added six for the Chargers.
Gabrielle Ratte had 13 assists and five digs, while McCulley had a team-best nine digs.
The Chargers remain on the road on Wednesday with a 7:00 p.m. match at Trinity.
