WILLIAMSTOWN, MA – May 8, 2015 - The Colby-Sawyer College women's tennis team fell to Babson College, 5-0 in Friday's NCAA Tournament first round.

The Chargers end the season with a 12-11 record, while Babson advances on to play Skidmore in tomorrow's NCAA second round. 
 
Babson opened up a 3-0 lead over the Chargers after sweeping the doubles matches. The first Babson point came from the three doubles pairing of Victoria Paolino and Dina Weick who defeated Marissa Ulmer and Lauren Blanchard, 8-3.
 
The number two Babson duo of Kylie Kam and Jenny Quenard defeated the Chargers' Sam White and Christine Hill, 8-2.
 
At one doubles Babson's Alexandra Freeman and Alexis Ferro posted an 8-2 win over Colby-Sawyer's top pairing of Ashlyn Ramsay and Ashley Woodside.
 
Babson's fourth point of the match came from Alexis Ferraro at four singles when she fashioned a straight sets win over Christine Hill 6-1, 6-0.
 
The match-clinching win for the Beavers came at six singles, where Dina Weick downed Marissa Ulmer in straight sets 6-0, 6-0.
