BENNINGTON, Vt.- The Colby-Sawyer men's tennis team rolled to a convincing 9-0 win over the MCLA Trailblazers in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) match played at the Bennington Tennis Center.
With the win, the Chargers improve to 6-8 overall and 3-0 in the NAC East Division while MCLA drops to 0-4 overall and 0-3 in conference play.
The Chargers wasted little time in taking control as they swept the doubles matches only dropping three games.
Cass McCann and
Rico Bailey won 8-2, while
Andrew Peloquin and
Justin Pinard won 8-1.
Shawn Bissonette and
Julius Graefe cruised to an 8-0 win in the third doubles slot.
The Chargers would continue their solid play in singles. McCann, Peloquin, and Pinard all earned their second points of the day, all in straight sets.
Sergio Spassof,
Clay Allen, and
Ryan Sawyer all won in convincing fashion to cap the victory.
Colby-Sawyer returns to action on Saturday with a NAC road match at Johnson State. ?
