BANGOR, Maine - March 28, 2015 – The Husso baseball team picked up two North Atlantic Conference (NAC) wins on Saturday over the visiting Chargers of Colby-Sawyer College. The Eagles won by scores of 6-1 and 9-0.
The Eagles improve to 6-7 overall and 4-0 in the NAC, while the Chargers drop to 0-12 and 0-4. The teams will play two more tomorrow with first pitch at noon. 
Game 1 – Husson 6, Colby-Sawyer 1Game one remained scoreless through the first three frames and the Chargers lit up the board first in the top of the fourth on a

Husson came storming back however, scoring two in the bottom of the fourth to take the lead. Christian Corneil and Darik Messier scored on a Jordan Carter single placed perfectly to right field.
The Eagles added on three more runs in the fifth with Kyle Bishop, JT Whitten and Corneil all driving in runs. Bishop added another in the 6th to insure the Husson lead and make it 6-1.
Zak Kochis pitched a scoreless seventh in his second appearance for the Eagles. Dan Whitney improved to 1-1 with the win, while 
Chris Mitchell Jr. picked up the loss for the Chargers.
Game 2 – Husson 9, Colby-Sawyer 0Husson scored runs in the third, fourth, fifth and sixth to take both ends of the doubleheader.
Brandon Gendreau deposited a 
Mike Peters pitch over the wall in left in the third that plated himself and Ryan Rebar for a 2-0 lead.
With the bases loaded in the fourth, Seth Freudenberger singled to right scoring JT Whitten. Ryan Rebar knocked in Darik Messier on a sacrifice fly. Moments later Andrew Curran singled to left plating Zach Sugar to push Husson's advantage to 5-0. 
In the fifth, Bishop led things off with a solo bomb to right that cleared the Winkin Complex netting above the fence in left. Messier doubled later in the inning to push the lead to 7-0, and Sugar added an RBI two-bagger of his own to move to 8-0 after five.
JT Whitten gave Husson its final 9-0 score in the sixth with a sac fly to right that scored Brandon Gendreau.
Brandon Reilly earned the victory for Husson while 
Mike Peters was handed the loss. Tommy Burns pitched a perfect seventh in his second appearance to seal the win.
