MANCHESTER, N.H. - October 6, 2015 - The Colby-Sawyer men's tennis team fell at Division II Southern New Hampshire University, 6-3 on Tuesday evening in the team's final match of the fall.
The Chargers end the first semester with a 2-1 record and will resume action in March.
The Penmen took two of three doubles matches to take an early lead. The No. 2 duo of
Dean Boodakian and
Ryan Sawyer outlasted their opponents 9-8 (7-5) for the Chargers' lone doubles point. Colby-Sawyer's top duo of
Cass McCann and
Gustav Jigrup gave SNHU's top pairing all they could handle but fell 8-6.
Jigrup picked up a 7-6, 6-2 victory at third singles, while
Ross Kenney came away with the Chargers' third point of the match with an 8-3 pro set win at No. 6 singles.
