Six first year players saw action tonight, including goalie
Jeff Cummings. He made five saves in the game.
Ege Basaran,
Kyle Millington,
Zach Elmore,
Denali Sexton,
Juan Giraldo, and
Eddie Garcia all saw time in their first collegiate match.
"I think we could've came away with three points tonight after being in front 2-0," said Head Coach
Craig Wilkinson. "I was happy we stuck to our game plan the entire match, but we need to move the ball quicker, which we were doing well in the preseason. Starting six freshmen tonight, there may have been some nerves on the pitch. Overall I was really pleased with our set pieces and our fitness. I also enjoyed the atmosphere of the game this evening and the support we had from our traveling fans. First class always."
