Women's Soccer Wins Fifth Straight; Blanks Lyndon 7-0

Box Score LYNDON CENTER, Vt. - September 29, 2013 - Lauren Bernard and Sarah Little scored two goals each as Colby-Sawyer handed Lyndon a 7-0 North Atlantic Conference loss Sunday afternoon.

The Chargers improve to 9-1 overall and 2-0 in the conference. Colby-Sawyer has five straight shutouts. 

Bernard opened the scoring at the 5:35 mark of the first half and Emily Martin made it 2-0 less than three minutes later off an assist from Liz Sullivan. Adrienne Bender found the mark at 10:35 before Little got into the scoring act with a tally at 13:12. Heather Faasse drew an assist on the play.

Michelle Upham scored the last Charger goal of the opening half off a pass from Ali Leizure giving the visitors a comfortable 5-0 advantage at intermission. Little and Stephanie Huntley set each other up for goals at 60:25 and 61:10, respectively, to close out the scoring in the game.

Charger goalkeeper Karley Hamilton made two saves to record the shutout and Lyndon goalie Marley Harmon made 15 saves in the loss. Colby-Sawyer outshot the Hornets 43-3 and held a 14-1 advantage in corner kicks.
