BEVERLY, Mass. – April 7, 2013 - The Endicott men's tennis team defeated their third straight opponent on Sunday afternoon, handing non-conference foe Colby-Sawyer a 7-2 loss to improve to 7-5 overall.  The Chargers dropped to 7-6 on the spring as the Gulls took all three doubles matches and four of six singles flights.

Seniors Olivier Joggi (Stoneham, Mass.) and Jake Cohen (Barrington, R.I.) won 8-2 at #1 doubles to start the match followed by two narrow victories at the #2 and #3 positions for Endicott.  Junior Evan Ross (Worcester, Mass.) and freshman Michael Dolph (Stratford, Conn.) edged their Chargers opposition of Paul Holland (England, United Kingdom) and Clay Allen (Massena, N.Y.) 8-6 at the #2 doubles flight before #2 doubles duo Benjamin Randlett (Middlebury, Vt.) and Eric Gandrup (Sudbury, Mass.) needed a 9-8 (9-7) tiebreaker to take down Justin Pinard (Essex, Vt.) and Sergio Spassof (Pallini, Greece).

The Gulls started off singles play with back-to-back wins at the #6 and #2 positions by Dolph and Ross in straight sets to get to a 5-0 advantage.  Colby-Sawyer sophomore Nathan Taschereau (Goffstown, N.H.) won the top flighted singles match 6-2, 6-2 to get the visitor's first point of the match.

At #5 singles, Randlett battled for a 7-5, 3-6, 10-6 win as the senior played his match of the season at that position.  Allen won 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) over Cohen to earn Colby-Sawyer's second point of the match.  The final match of the day saw Endicott's #4 singles player Timothy Forance (Natick, Mass.) grind out a three-set win over his Chargers opposition, Spassof.  Forance dropped the first set 3-6 before rallying to win 6-0, 7-6 (11-9).

The Blue and Green wrap up their recent four-game home stand with a CCC match against Wentworth on Wednesday, April 10th at 3:30 pm.  Colby-Sawyer visits NAC rival Lyndon State on Thursday at 3:00 pm.
