NEW LONDON, N.H. - February 18, 2013 - The Colby-Sawyer men's basketball team earned the third seed in this week's North Atlantic Conference (NAC) tournament after finishing the conference schedule with a 13-5 record. The team will host sixth seed Thomas on Tuesday at 5:30 pm.

The teams split a pair of games this season with each team winning on the road. Colby-Sawyer earned a 73-68 win at Thomas on December 7, while the Terriers came away with a 72-71 win in New London on a made buzzer beater.
The Chargers (13-12) are led by sophomore
Mike Dias who averages 16.1 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. Dias scored a game-high 25 points in the team's win at Thomas and also led Colby-Sawyer with an 18-point, 12 rebound effort in the loss. Senior
Corey Willis handles the ball for the Chargers and is second in the NAC with 122 assists.
Thomas (13-11, 7-7) is led by guard Levi Barnes who has the fourth most points in the NAC. He is averaging 16 points per game and has gone for 22 and 19 in the games against Colby-Sawyer. Jarrad DeVaughn scores 13.6 points per game and has played in 17 out of Thomas' 24 games. He poured in a game-high 27 points on 9-13 shooting in the last meeting after not playing in the first contest.
The University of Maine at Farmington has secured the top seed in the upcoming North Atlantic Conference Men's Basketball Tournament. The Beavers (20-5 overall, 15-3 NAC) will host eighth-seeded New England College (3-22 overall, 3-15 NAC) in a quarterfinal game on Tuesday.
Husson University earned the second seed, finishing the season 17-8 overall, 14-4 NAC. The Eagles will host Johnson State College (9-16 overall, 7-11 NAC) which earned the seventh seed, in quarterfinal action Tuesday.
Fourth-seeded Castleton State College (14-11 overall, 12-6 NAC) hosts fifth seed Lyndon State College (12-13, 11-7 NAC) in the final quarterfinal Tuesday.
The top eight teams qualify for the NAC Championship. Predetermined tiebreaking procedures were used to seed teams with identical conference winning percentages.
Quarterfinal round games will be played on Tuesday, February 19 at the higher seed. Winners will advance to the semifinals held at the highest remaining seed on Friday, February 22. Semifinal winners will meet Saturday, February 23 at the site of the semifinal.
Game times and dates are subject to change. The NAC Champion receives an automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Championship.
