ORLANDO, Fla. - March 9, 2012 - The Colby-Sawyer men's tennis team played four matches on a week long spring break trip to Orlando, Fla.
After dropping the first two matches of the year in the fall to Saint Anselm (7-2) and Eastern Nazarene (9-0), the Chargers fell in all four contests in Florida.
Coe College earned an 8-1 win on March 5 at Lake Cane Park.
Reeve Fidler and
Nolan Foley won at No. 3 doubles, 8-2.
A strong Wheaton (Ill.) team swept the Chargers 9-0 on March 6 in Winter Park, Fla. to drop Colby-Sawyer to 0-4 on the season.
On March 7, the Chargers met with Albion College of Michigan. The Britons improved to 3-2 on the season with the 7-2 victory.
Eric Caples recorded the Chargers' lone singles victory at the sixth flight. He won 6-3 and 6-2.
Colby-Sawyer wrapped up the trip with a 7-2 loss to Clark (Mass.) on March 8.
Clay Allen won at No. 5 singles 2-6, 6-3, and 6-4.

Reeve Fidler picked up a 9-8 (7-1) win at No. 2 doubles.
Colby-Sawyer is back in action on March 17 with a non-conference match at Castleton. The two teams will meet later in the season for a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) East contest.
