NEW LONDON, N.H. – March 19, 2012 –The Endicott men's tennis team earned a 7-2 road victory over Colby-Sawyer in non-conference action on Monday afternoon.
Endicott improves to 3-6 overall and will play at Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) foe, Salve Regina, on Saturday afternoon. The Chargers dip to 1-7 on the season and will host Gordon on Thursday at 4:00 pm.
The Gulls were ahead 2-1 after winning No. 1 and No. 3 doubles, both by the score of 8-5. Jake Cohen (Barrington, R.I.) and Eric Gandrup (Sudbury, Mass.) took No. 1 doubles, while Keller Dinan (Monterey, Mass.) and Andrew Zurheide (New London, N.H.) teamed for the victory in the No. 3 slot. Colby-Sawyer's lone doubles victory came from the second flight team of
Reeve Fidler (Groton, Mass.) and
Nolan Foley (Jaffrey, N.H.).
Cohen also won his singles match at the third flight to help lead the Gulls to the victory. Olivier Joggi (Stoneham, Mass.), Porter Williams (Raleigh, N.C.), Ben Randlett (Middlebury, Vt.), and Tim Forance (Natick, Mass.) each picked up a singles victory.
Sergio Spassof (Pallini, Greece) was responsible for the lone Colby-Sawyer singles win in the No. 6 slot.
