BANGOR, Maine - January 7, 2012 - The Colby-Sawyer women's basketball team earned a 65-57 victory at Husson in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action on Saturday afternoon.

The Chargers improve to 9-3 overall and are tied with New England College for first with a 5-1 mark in the conference. Husson falls to 4-7 overall and drops its first NAC contest to go to 4-1.

Kelsey Bragdon led all players with 17 points off the bench and made six of nine shots. Taylor DeSanty and Ashley Fruzzetti had 15 and 14 points, respectively. DeSanty also brought down a career best 10 rebounds. Kelsey Cahill grabbed a career and game high 12 rebounds.

Husson's Brianna Hanscom made her benchmark 1000th point with 9:53 left in today's game. She finished with eight points and 10 rebounds. Marissa Albert led Husson with 14 points. The Eagles shot just 30.9% from the floor.

The Eagles play on Tuesday, January 10th at 7:30PM in the Newman Gym against Thomas College.  Colby-Sawyer hosts Green Mountain College Thursday, January 12th at 7:30PM.
