NORTHFIELD, Vt. - November 12, 2011 - The Colby-Sawyer swimming and diving teams competed at Norwich on Saturday afternoon. The women came away with a 174-69 victory, but the men fell to the Cadets 148-101.
COMPLETE RESULTS
The women's team spread around the winning on Saturday with five different swimmers winning twice and three others taking first once. The Chargers began the day with a win in the 200 medley relay in a time of 2:04.49. The team was comprised of
Krystyna Estrada,
Erin Dunican,
Hannah Fairbank and
Jen Gavell.
Dunican also won the 50 freestyle, while Gavell took first in the 100 freestyle. Estrada won the 50 butterfly.
Emily Olson took top honors in the 50 breaststroke and the 200 backstroke.
Ari Marks also won two events (200 butterfly and 500 freestyle).
The men's team was led by a two-win performance from
Travis Dennison. He took top honors in the 200 butterfly and the 100 freestyle.
Owen Worden also was a victor in the 200 IM.
The 400 freestyle relay team comprised of
Kyle Harris,
Jimmy Montanari,
Chris Giordano, and
Jack Nessen won in a time of 3:45.48.
The Chargers return to their home pool next Saturday with a meet against Elms and Plymouth State.
