WORCESTER, Mass. – Over the weekend the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) held its swimming and diving championships with the Colby-Sawyer men's swimming and diving team placing in 3rd.
Rapid Recap:
- Sophomore Tristen Leys (Minot, ND) and sophomore Parker Hilton (Hudson, N.H.) both kicked off the scoring in the 200 yard freestyle as Leys finished in 3rd at a time of 1:51.94, while Hilton followed in 4th at 1:58.36.
- In the second day Leys started off the day with a 4th place finish in the 100 yard butterfly at a time of 55.55. Hilton added a 5th place score in the 500 yard freestyle at a time of 5:22.56. Leys finished the night with a 2nd place in the 50 yard freestyle at a time of 22.55.
- In the final day Leys got another silver medal finishing the 100 yard freestyle at a time of 50.19. Hilton added a 5th place in the 100 yard backstroke at a time of 1:04.85 to conclude the scoring.

"We may be small, but we were fierce in the water this weekend",said head coach Christina Baudis. "We had season and lifetime best time across-the-board. We had multiple top eight final finishers, a 3rd place finish in diving and a rookie of the swim meet award and of course so much fun along the way. I am so proud of this team and can't waiting for next season with returners and new first years!"
