Men's Soccer Earns Second Straight Shutout

QUINCY, Mass. - September 18, 2010 -
The men's soccer team earned their second straight shutout in a 4-0 win at Eastern Nazarene on Saturday afternoon. The Chargers pull even to 3-3 overall and improve to 2-0 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference play. The Lions drop to 1-4 overall and 0-2 in conference action.

The Chargers, who were coming off a 3-0 non-conference win over Rivier, scored four more times against the Lions and refused to let in a goal once again.

Freshman Joe Soojian got the away team on the board first in the 30th minute after collecting his own rebound off the keeper and re-shot the ball into the net.

Freshman Drew Pehoviak just beat the halftime horn in the final minute of the first half to give the Chargers a 2-0 lead heading into the break.

Freshman Zach Charron increased the advantage to 3-0 in the 61st minute after the keeper came out to challenge the play. Charron then calmly chipped the ball into the open net.

Colby-Sawyer added insurance in the 86th minute on sophomore Oscar Svensson 's first tally as a Charger. The game ended at 4-0.

Junior Will Berry made six saves in earning his third shutout of the season.
