NEW LONDON, N.H. – December 9, 2010 – The Bowdoin men's basketball team shot 58.6% en route to an 85-72 road victory at Colby-Sawyer. The Polar Bears improve to 5-2 overall, while the Chargers dip to 3-4.
The first half featured back and forth action in its entirety with each team holding a largest advantage of just four points. Colby-Sawyer turned nine first half Bowdoin turnovers into 15 points, but trailed 37-35 at the break.
The Chargers were within three points at the 11 minute mark of the second before Bowdoin exploded for an 11-1 run to lead 68-55. The Polar Bears, who shot 63% in the second, held a comfortable lead for the remainder of the game en route to the 85-72 win.
Sophomore Maximilian Staiger (West Caldwell, N.J.) led five Bowdoin players in double-figures with 19. Junior Will Hanley (New Canaan, Conn.) recorded a double-double with 17 points and a game-high 13 boards. Senior guard Randy DeFeo (Ridgewood, N.J.) also tallied a double-double with 12 points and a game best 10 assists. Junior Ryan O'Connell (Ipswich, Mass.) and junior Justin Nowell (Cos Cob, Conn.) each added 10 points.

Robbie Burke (Cheshire, Mass.) scored 22 points. Bardaglio was 8-13 from the floor and was 5-6 from beyond the arc. Burke added 11 rebounds for his third double-double of the season. Senior
Brandon Carbone (Portland, Maine) registered 16 points and pulled down seven rebounds.
