Men's Swimming & Diving Team Sinks UNE, 136-89

BIDDEFORD, Maine - January 30, 2010 -
The Colby-Sawyer men's swimming and diving team earned their fourth victory of the season on Saturday, swimming past the University of New England, 136-89.

Ryan Sloss led the Chargers with three victories including the 50-yard backstroke (29.44), 100-yard backstroke (1:04.12) and the 50-yard freestyle (24.25). Ryan Martin earned two victories in the 200 (2:00.04) and 100-yard freestyle (54.07). Owen Worden picked up a victory and set the pool record in the 100 IM (1:03.08), while Jack Nessen won the 50-yard butterfly (28.26).

All four men were members of the 200-yard freestyle team that won in a time of 1:39.07.

The team hits the pool again against UMass Dartmouth on Saturday, February 6 at 1:00 pm.
