Men's Soccer Falls to Curry, 4-1

MILTON, Mass. - September 26, 2009 -
The Colby-Sawyer men's soccer team was defeated by the TCCC leading Colonels of Curry, 4-1. The Chargers fall to 1-6 overall and 0-4 in conference play, while the Colonels improve to 6-1-2 overall and 4-0 in TCCC play.

Devin Sadlers scored twice in the first 12 minutes of the contest to give Curry a lead they would not relinquish.

Jesse Fishman put the Colonels up three six minutes into the second half, before the Chargers answered with a goal of their own eight minutes later. Freshmen James Longe and Ryan Bernstein connected for the third time this season. Longe found the back of the net to cut the Curry lead to 3-1.

Curry added a fourth goal with four minutes to play when Adam Gabbard fired a shot past Max Williams to seal the victory.

Colby-Sawyer returns home on Wednesday for a 4:00 pm contest against Roger Williams.
