WENHAM, Mass. - October 24, 2009 - The Colby-Sawyer men's swimming and diving team competed at its first meet of the 2009-2010 season. The Chargers scored 151 points to beat the 70 points scored by Gordon.
Senior
Ryan Martin had a solid day with four first place finishes. He clocked in at 11:59.86 in the 1000 free to begin the day and followed with a time of 53.74 in the 100 free and 5:46.49 in the 500 free. He also was a member of the 200 yard medley relay team that placed first at 1:53.40. Other members of the team included sophomore
Ryan Sloss, sophomore
Owen Worden, and sophomore
Jack Nessen.
Sloss also won the 50 free in 23.69, the 100 back in 1:04.87, and the 100 IM in 1:04.77.
Worden also performed well in his individual heats. He touched the wall at 1:11.55 to win the 100 breaststroke, to go along with victories in the 200 free (2:02.38) and the 50 breaststroke (33.32).
