Salve Regina Soars Past Men's Soccer, 8-4

MIDDLETOWN, R.I. - October 18, 2009 - The Colby-Sawyer men's soccer team was defeated by Salve Regina, 8-4 on a rain soaked Sunday evening. The Chargers return to action on Tuesday with a home game against Wentworth beginning at 3:30pm. 

Colby-Sawyer scored all four of their goals in the second half, but could not cut into the 8-0 halftime deficit any further. 

Freshman James Longe scored the Chargers' first goal and then assisted on the team's second tally. Sophomore Brian Lombard scored the second goal for Colby-Sawyer, while junior Doug McLaughlin got the final two scores of the contest in the 65th and 69th minutes.
