SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - May 15, 2015 - The Chargers had eight members of the track and field program compete on the final day of the 2015 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship hosted by Springfield College.
RESULTSSophomore Rachel Quaye concluded the heptathlon by competing in the long jump, javelin and 800 meter run. She won her second event of the competition with a distance of 35.53 meters in the javelin, which was nearly six meters farther than the second place distance. Quaye also placed eighth in the 800 meter (2:36.87) and ninth in the long jump (4.84m). She finished the heptathlon in third place with a school record point total of 4159. For her efforts, she earned All-ECAC honors. Freshman
Emmani Robinson turned in a tremendous performance in her first trip to the ECAC Championship. She set a new record in the shot put, breaking her previous mark of 12.51 meters with Friday's distance of 12.68 meters. She placed seventh in the event out of 30 competitors to earn All-ECAC honors.
Junior
Rasheed Foster earned All-ECAC honors by finishing in seventh in Friday's 200 meter dash. He crossed the finish line in 22.12 to place ahead of most of the 30 competitor field.
Senior
Jesse Socci came away with a 20th place in the shot put. He recorded a distance of 14.26 meters.
The 4x800 relay team of

Kody Frye and
Brandon Legendre placed 24th with a time of 8:01.92.
