Women's Basketball Scores Most Points Since 1999 in 101-80 Win at Thomas
WATERVILLE, Maine - February 4, 2012 - Taylor DeSanty (North Adams, Mass.) and Cailin Bullett (Millbury, Mass.) combine for 53 points as the Colby-Sawyer women's basketball team defeated Thomas, 101-80 on Saturday afternoon. The 101 points is the highest total for the Chargers since the team scored 107 against Nichols on February 20, 1999.

Mike Dias (Fr., Carver, Mass.)... was named North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Rookie of the Week after leading the Chargers in scoring (19 ppg), rebounding (10.3 rpg), and FG% (60.5%) in a 2-1 week. Mike began the week with 13 points and eight rebounds in an 85-62 road win at NEC. He followed with a game best 21 points on 10-14 shooting and nine rebounds in a 73-65 road loss to Maine-Farmington. Mike wrapped up the week with career-highs in points with 23 and rebounds with 14 in an 87-75 win at Thomas.

Women's Basketball
Taylor DeSanty (Jr., North Adams, Mass.)... was named North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Player of the Week and New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) Player of the Week. She led the Chargers in three road wins with 28.3 points per game. She also led the team in shooting (52.7%) from the floor and from the free throw line (90.5%). She began the week with 19 points and six boards in an important 65-46 road win at NEC. Taylor then scored a Colby-Sawyer single game record 38 points in a 75-52 win at Maine-Farmington. She connected on 13 of 18 field-goal attempts and all nine of her free throws. She finished the week with a game-high 28 points, including five treys, in a 101-80 road win at Thomas. DeSanty averaged 5.7 boards per game.
