BOSTON, Mass. - December 5, 2015 - The Colby-Sawyer men's indoor track and field team set five school records in the season opening meet at the 4th Annual UMass Boston Indoor Open at the Reggie Lewis Center. RESULTSRasheed Foster had an impressive opening weekend to lead the Chargers. He set a school record in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.25. He placed 11th out of 96 and qualified for the New England championships. Foster also bested his previous school record in the 200 meter dash. He finished second out of 97 competitors with a time of 22.84.
Karl Nyholm also qualified for New England's. He placed third out of 51 in the shot put with a qualifying mark of 13.97 meters.
Ben Bunnell broke his previous school record time of 15:37.86 in the 5000 meter with a new time of 15:29.57 to place sixth out of 28.
In his first collegiate meet,
Kyle Diezel set a new record in the 400 meter by nearly three seconds. He placed 17th with a time of 53.71.
Brandon Legendre came away with a new standard in the 800 meter run. He crossed the finish line in 2:00.39 to place fourth out of 29. Close behind Legendre was
Kody Frye who placed sixth in 2:01.37.
