WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - November 7, 2015 - Members of the Colby-Sawyer women's cross country team competed at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship hosted by Williams College. The 6k race was held at Mount Greylock High School.
RESULTSThe Chargers finished 37th out of 46 in a race that featured 311 runners. Colby-Sawyer was one of many teams that entered their second seven athletes in the ECAC championship race. This gives the top seven an extra week to prepare for the NCAA Regional Championships on November 14.
Freshman
Shae-Lyn Walker paced the Chargers with a time of 26:46.09. She finished in 149th.
Freshman
Meghan Clancy finished in 201st place in a time of 28:16.87.
Junior
Charlotte Recknagel came away with 209th place in 28:34.29.
Junior
Elizabeth Abbott clocked in at 29:10.62 to place 232nd.
The Chargers' fifth and sixth runners were senior
Carrie Brewster (279th, 31:16.19) and junior
Lea Taylor (288th, 32:12.03).
Colby-Sawyer will head to Conn. College next weekend to compete in the NCAA Regional's.
