NEW LONDON, N.H. – November 3, 2015 – The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) has announced the 2015 Men's Cross Country All-Conference awards on the heels of the championship race last weekend.
Senior
Ben Bunnell (Barnet, Vt.) was named to the All-NAC First Team, while junior
Brandon Legendre (Waterford, Vt.) was named to the All-NAC Second Team. Senior
DJ Ayotte (East Kingston, N.H.) was selected to the Sportsmanship Team.
The medalist and the next seven finishers at the NAC Championship are honored as All-Conference First Team runners, while the next seven are named to the All-Conference Second Team. To view all of the honorees click
HEREBunnell, who earned his second straight nod to the All-NAC First Team, placed fourth at the NAC Championship in a time of 27:36.30 to lead the Chargers. Bunnell has placed in the top-6 of four races this season including a win at New England College in early September. He also garnered All-NAC Second Team honors in 2013.
Legendre earned All-NAC Second Team honors after placing 11th at the NAC Championship. He was the second Charger to cross the finish line with a time of 28:26.68. Legendre was a first team honoree last season and a second team selection in 2013.
New to the conference this season is the selection of a Sportsmanship Team which is reserved for those who have distinguished themselves through demonstrated acts of sportsmanship and ethical behavior. The honorees are individuals who have positively affected the men's cross country culture and environment and whose behavior clearly demonstrates sportsmanship and integrity.
DJ Ayotte was selected to represent the Chargers.
