STOWE, Vt. - February 4, 2012 - The Colby-Sawyer College women's alpine ski team competed at Stowe Mountain this weekend at the University of Vermont Carnival. The women placed 12th in the giant slalom and 13th in the slalom.

In the giant slalom, the Chargers were led by sophomore
Hillary Brownson. Brownson placed 34th in a combined time of 2:19.25.
Freshman
Courtney Troxell placed 38th in a time of 2:20.67 and sophomore
Emily Luce, competing in her first EISA race, rounded out the Chargers' top three racers with a 47th place finish in a time of 2:25.39.
In the slalom,
Courtney Troxell was the top Charger finisher, earning a 31st place finish in a time of 2:02.31.
The Chargers return to the slopes February 10-11, 2012 when they compete in the Dartmouth College Carnival. Giant slalom will be held on Friday and the Slalom will be on Saturday.
