NEW LONDON, N.H. - January 23, 2012 - Colby-Sawyer junior
Taylor DeSanty (North Adams, Mass.) has been named North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Women's Basketball Player of the Week, according to a release by the conference office on Monday. DeSanty also was named to the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) Honor Roll.

DeSanty, who is second in the NAC with 18.7 points per game, had one of the best weeks of her career. She shot 70% from the floor and 78% from beyond the arc en route to pouring in 25.5 points per game. She began the week with a 21 points on 8-13 shooting (5-7 from beyond the arc) in a 95-90 overtime loss at Middlebury. She ended the week with a career-high 30 points on 13-17 shooting from the floor, including 2-2 on trey's in the team's 92-81 win over intrastate rival New England College.
DeSanty currenty sits in 12th place on the school's all-time scoring list with 984 points and is two three pointers shy of fifth place in career makes.
The Chargers return to the court on Thursday with a 5:30 pm tilt at Lyndon. Colby-Sawyer then hosts Johnson State on Saturday.
