SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – April 3, 2010 – Members of the Colby-Sawyer women's Track and Field team competed at the Mount Holyoke Invitational on Saturday.

Kristin Sawyer continued her impressive first season in the throwing events finishing in third place in the javelin with a distance of 29.25m and eighth place in the hammer throw at 29.77m. Both were top finishes for the Chargers.

Aimee Burgess was the Charger's top finisher in the shot put and the discus throw finishing in eighth place in both. Burgess, who edged out teammate Kristin Sawyer by .01m in the shot put, finished with a distance of 9.43m and threw for a distance of 26.86m in the discus.

Dani Perry was the Chargers top finisher in the 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash and the 100 meter hurdles. Perry finished fourth in the 200 with a time of 28.92s, fifth in the 100m hurdles at 17.69s and sixth in the 100 at 13.90s.

Amber Cronin finished third in the high jump with a height of 1.37m.

The Chargers return to action on Friday April 9, when they travel to the Eastern Connecticut Invitational.
