WILDCAT - February 6, 2010 - Danielle Shannon earned her third victory of the season to lead the Chargers to an overall win in slalom racing at Wildcat. Colby-Sawyer and Plymouth State are tied atop the MacConnell standings and the champion will be decided on Sunday in giant slalom racing.
Shannon blew by the entire field on Saturday by 2.36 en route to the victory in 1:20.93. Cecilie Andvord and
Anna Hosmer tied for eighth place at 1:25.30 to give Colby-Sawyer a total time of 251.53, which was .05 quicker than Boston College who placed second.
Nicole DiNapoli (1:26.40) and
Kellie Tingle (1:26.74) finished just outside the top-10 at 11th and 12 placed, respectively.
Maggie Flynn finished in 20th for the second straight race and clocked in with a combined time of 1:28.24.
Amy MacMahon placed 23rd at 1:29.26, while Lauren D'Allessandro, who raced for the first time since early January after recovering from an injury, placed 33rd (1:34.03).
