WILDCAT - February 6, 2010 - The Colby-Sawyer men's ski team finished second in slalom racing at Wildcat on the final weekend of MacConnell Division competition. The team will ski the giant slalom on Sunday at 10:00 am.
The Chargers had three of the top five finishers on Saturday highlighted by
Ryan Lawless' third overall victory of the season. He finished in a combined time of 1:16.42.
Shawn Dunstan continued his streak of top-3 finishes, completing the race right behind Lawless at 1:18.04.
Joe Atwood placed fifth at 1:19.18.
Justin Janssen had his best finish of the season by placing 17th with a combined time of 1:23.02. The final Charger to score was
Andrew Smith. He clocked in at 1:30.42 finishing in 29th place.
David Brackett finished behind Smith in 30th (1:30.47), while
Brian Gudolawicz placed 36th (1:32.83).
Geordie Sousa (1:34.60, 38th) and
Albert Torres (1:35.95, 39th) rounded out the Charger competitors to complete the race.
The team sits in second place in the standings with tomorrow's race being the last regular season competition.
