Tim Viola

Tim Viola enters his second year at the helm of the women's basketball program in 2024-25 after being selected as the sixth coach in program history in May of 2023. 

In his first season Viola ended the year with a record of 8-18 overall and a 5-9 GNAC record. The Chargers earned a GNAC Play-In Round appearance ending the year with a loss to Regis. Viola's first collegiate head coaching win came on November 14th against Curry. Viola coaches a single CSC Academic All-District selection in 2023-24.

Viola joins Colby-Sawyer following two stints throughout six years as an assistant coach at Assumption College where he has since August 2019. In 2022-23 the Greyhounds finished 27-6 securing the NE10 Regular Season Championship, the programs first ever NCAA Regional Championship and a NCAA Elite Eight Appearance.

Prior to returning to Assumption College, Viola spent a season at Newbury College in 2018-19. He began coaching at the collegiate level in 2015-16 where he spent one season at Fisher College.

Viola received a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies and a Minor in Youth Studies at Northpoint Bible College in 2011. He also received his Master of Science in Recreation and Sport Sciences with a concentration Coaching Education from Ohio University in 2016.
