AT COLBY-SAWYER
2026: McLeer put together a career year for the Chargers in 2026, starting all 39 games and earning Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) First Team All-Conference honors along with D3baseball.com All-Region Third Team recognition. Mike finished the season batting .371 with a .482 on-base percentage and .606 slugging percentage, collecting 49 hits, 43 runs scored, 38 RBIs, eight doubles, a triple, seven home runs and eight stolen bases. His production placed him among the GNAC leaders, ranking fifth in runs scored (43), tied for fifth in home runs (7), tied for eighth in RBIs (38), ninth in on-base percentage (.482) and ninth in slugging percentage (.606). McLeer delivered several standout performances throughout the season, including a two-home run, four-RBI game at Dean on March 22nd. He collected a season-high four hits against Rivier on April 12th and drove in a season-high six runs while homering against Plymouth State on April 16th. McLeer also scored a season-high five runs and stole three bases against Albertus Magnus on April 11th. Defensively, McLeer primarily patrolled center field for the Chargers, recording 71 putouts across his 39 starts. McLeer concluded his Colby-Sawyer career among the top offensive players in program history, finishing first all-time in on-base percentage, fifth in slugging percentage, eighth in batting average and tied for eighth in home runs.
2025: McLeer took on an expanded role for the Chargers in 2025, starting all 18 games in which he appeared and producing a career-best .344 batting average. Mike finished the season with 21 hits in 61 at-bats, scoring 21 runs while driving in 15, with six doubles, two triples, two home runs and a stolen base. He also drew 11 walks to help him reach base consistently throughout the season. McLeer opened his season with a strong performance at Massachusetts Maritime on March 9th, going 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBIs and three runs scored. He collected a career-high three hits with two doubles and two runs scored against Anna Maria on April 15th. McLeer put together another standout day in a doubleheader against Norwich on April 21st, combining for five hits, six runs scored, four RBIs, two doubles and a triple across the two games. He closed the season with another impact performance at Saint Joseph's (Maine) on May 3rd, going 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs.
2024: McLeer made 18 starts for the Chargers in 2024 including 22 appearances. Mike ended the year with a .245/.432/.415 (AVG/OBP/SLG) slash line with two home runs, 18 runs scored, 14 stolen bases, 11 RBIs and three doubles. McLeer launched his first collegiate home run on March 22nd at Anna Maria in a Charger win. Mike added the single-game program record for stolen bases in a game stealing four in a win at Dean on April 7th. McLeer's best game of the season came on April 19th at Saint Joseph's (Maine) going 3-for-4 with three RBIs, a pair of runs and a home run.Â
2023: McLeer started four games for the Chargers while also appearing in three more games in a reserve role. Mike ended the year going 6-for-14 with three doubles, two triples, six RBI and five runs scored. McLeer went 2-for-3 on March 12th against the University of Maine - Presque Isle with two doubles with two runs scored, three RBI and a walk. McLeer added a 2-for-3 game on March 17th at Knox College with two triples, two runs and two RBI.
PRIOR TO COLBY-SAWYER: Graduate of Thornton Academy, where McLeer was a 2022 Class A Maine State Champion in baseball. Mike was also a two-sport athlete at Thornton Academy being a varsity basketball player for two-seasons.
