John has been an Assistant Coach with the Chargers since 2003. His responsibilities are working on the fundamentals of the game, conditioning/skills/drills with the pitchers, and serving as the teams bench coach. Best known for his statistical abilities statewide. Coach Bly also is the Co-Head Coach of the American Legion Baseball Team Post 21 of Concord, NH. John also works as an instructor for RBI Baseball Academy out of Foxboro MA, host’s youth baseball camps in City of Concord and in his hometown of Claremont, NH.

Prior to joining the staff at Colby-Sawyer John served as a Varsity Assistant Baseball and Football at Both Keene NH High School and Stevens HS of Claremont,NH.. John has total of 18 years of coaching experience. He is employed full time by the State of New Hampshire Division of State Police-NHH-DOS Campus Police Unit as a Communications Specialist/Tac Officer in Concord. 

John resides in Concord, NH with his wife Julie and their two children Nicholas and Katie. Coach Ralph Silva of Claremont, NH former Head Coach of the Stevens Cardinals Football and Baseball Teams is considered John’s Mentor. Coach Silva is best known as being the High School Coach of Baseball Hall of Fame player Carlton Fisk.
