Biography

As a junior: Carter made nine appearances, including seven starts on the mound for the Chargers. He logged nearly as many innings as he did in his first two seasons with the team. In 40.2 innings pitched, he recorded two complete games and one shutout. He led the team with a 5.98 earned run averaged and also tallied the second most strikeouts on the team with 25.

As a freshman: Malpass started four games and made one relief appearance, tallying 16 innings on the year with 17 strikeouts. He completed the year with a 1-3 record, earning his first collegiate win against Anna Maria on April 23, going five innings, giving up two earned runs and striking out eight.

Personal: Son of Pete and Dee Malpass. Has a brother named Jordon. Majoring in Sport Management.



As a sophomore: The southpaw went 3-2 with a 5.33 ERA in 27 innings of work. Along with five starts, Malpass made three appearances out of the bullpen for the Chargers. On April 13, Malpass registered his first career complete game against Salve Regina, going the distance and only giving up two earned runs on six hits.
