Biography

AT COLBY-SAWYER
2023: Makela made eight appearances in 2023 for the Chargers including one start. Chloe finished the season with a shot on goal with 63 minutes on game action.

2022: Makela made five appearances for the Chargers in 2022 logging 77 minutes of game time. Chloe played a season-high 31 minutes on September 17th against Dean College. 

2021: Makela saw action in nine games in 2021. Makela registered her first collegiate point on October 9th at Albertus Magnus College with an assist in a 11-3 Chargers victory. 

2020: The team did not compete due to COVID-19. Makela was later announced to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) 2020 Division III National Academic Team scoring above a 3.3 or higher cumulative grade point average throughout the first semester of the 2020 academic year.

PRIOR TO COLBY-SAWYER: Graduate of York High School and was a two-time regional champion. Makela was also a member of the National Honor Society and All-Academic team.
