Biography

As a senior: Murphy exits Colby-Sawyer as the all-time leader in points, goals and assists. Murphy also holds single season records in points, goals, and assists. She was second in the NAC in 2012 with 101 points and 35 assists. Murphy was named to the All-NAC First Team.

As a junior: Murphy had a record breaking season in 2011. She set new single season records for points (100), goals (72) and assists (28), while climbing up the all-time career ranks. Brittney ranked second in goals (48), fourth in assists (20), and fourth in points (68) among in TCCC-only games. For her efforts, she earned All-TCCC First Team accolades. Highlighting her season was a 13 point effort on March 23 against New England College. She scored eight goals and added five assists in the 20-15 victory.

As a sophomore: Murphy continued to be an offensive force on the field in her second campaign. She led the team in goals (49), assists (18), points (67), and draw controls (28). She was second on the team with 43 ground balls. Her point, goal and assist totals all ranked as the fifth most in a single season by a Colby-Sawyer athlete. She was named All-TCCC Second Team.

As a freshman: Brittney had an immediate impact on the Colby-Sawyer lacrosse team in her first season. She played in all 14 games and scored 11 goals. She had the fifth most points on the team with 16. She scored her first collegiate goal in her first game on March 14 against Anna Maria.

At Woburn High: Murphy was a three-sport captain in soccer, basketball and lacrosse for the Tanners. She was selected to the soccer and lacrosse All-Star Teams. Murphy was a member of the Activities Committee.

Personal: Daughter of Bob and Stacey Murphy. Has two brothers named Andrew and Timothy, and a sister named Callie. Majoring in Child Development.
