WESTON, Mass. – The Colby-Sawyer College women's volleyball team fell to Regis College on Thursday evening in its 2026 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) opener at the Regis Athletic Complex.

Colby-Sawyer came out strong in the opening set, trading points early and putting down nine kills while hitting .185. However, the Pride utilized a mid-set push and 14 kills to pull away for a 25-18 victory. Six different Chargers recorded at least one kill, while Kamryn Brakemeier (Keller, Texas), Liv Chandonnait (Belmont, N.H.) and Sailor Plourde (Branford, Conn.) recorded two each.

Regis carried its momentum into the second frame, hitting .286 as a squad and capitalizing on six service aces in the second set. Brakemeier recorded two aces and two kills in the set to pace the Chargers offense.

The Pride maintained control in the third set, jumping ahead early and holding off every Charger rally. Addison Sasnett (Virginia Beach, Va.) joined Brakemeier with two kills a piece in the third set for the Chargers.

Junior Kamryn Brakemeier led the Chargers' attack with six kills while pacing the team at the service line with three aces to go along with five digs.

Sophomore Addison Sasnett added four kills and three blocks, while sophomore Sailor Plourde chipped in three kills.

Sophomore Claire Rocky (Sherman, Conn.) anchored the net defense with a team-high four blocks, and first-year Haley Arp (Englewood, Fla.) contributed two blocks.

Senior setter Bree Bacon (Brookline, Mass.) dished out a team-best eight assists, followed closely by first-year Reese Pike (Weare, N.H.) with seven assists and first-year Lucy Denu (Derry, N.H.) with three assists and an ace.

Senior Alexis Mandrino (Dunbarton, N.H.) paced the back row with a team-high 10 digs, while first-year Liv Chandonnait contributed six digs.

Colby-Sawyer held a 6-2 advantage over the Pride in total team blocks.
